Tristan Perez

Tristan Perez is the founder and artistic director of the Philanthropic Philharmonic (PhilPhil), a virtual orchestra comprised of members from around the world who record music to raise awareness for various causes. In addition to leading and arranging covers for the Phil Phil, Tristan also edits the audio and video for the group.

Tristan is an accomplished composer and arranger. His music has been performed across the country and abroad by ensembles including the University of Nevada, Reno Contemporary Music Ensemble and Orchestre à Vents Péro-Phonique in Montreal. He has received three Sherill C. Corwin Metropolitan Theatre Awards for large ensemble composition. Tristan is currently focused on writing music to help listeners and performers cope with stress. He is currently researching Eastern philosophy, Yogic practices, and pranayama to inform his music as he finishes his MM in Music Composition at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music.

Tristan has been identified as both a leader and organizer in and out of the musical world. He conducted and led the Pops Orchestra at UCSB for 3 years, managed 5 buildings as a Guest Services Manager for UCSB’s Conference and Hospitality Services, and helped plan and execute “Art and Psyche: The Illuminated Imagination.” The interdisciplinary conference focused on the use of art as a form of healing and featured 400 presenters over the course of 4 days. Outside of music, Tristan enjoys rock climbing, board games, and snuggling up with his cat, Maestro.

Andrew Robert Wilcox

Andrew Robert Wilcox (b. 1990) was born into a non-musical family, but quickly learned the spark that music could create in elementary school, where he then devoted himself to the musical arts, performing in choirs and musicals until he reached college, where he finally decided to take up composition. He currently holds an Associates in Music from Long Beach City College, a Bachelor’s in Music Composition from California State University, Fullerton, and is currently studying for his Master’s in Composition at California State University, Long Beach. Andrew has had his music played by the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, The CSUF New Music Ensemble, and the Newgate Ensemble. He has also had his music frequently featured at the Long Beach Playhouse and STAGEStheatre, where he works as a sound designer and composer for various plays and musicals.

Erica Pobanz

Erica Pobanz is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and business professional based in Los Angeles, CA. She earned her bachelor’s degree in music studies (with an emphasis in composition) and a technology management certificate from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2020. 

Erica’s original works have been performed by the UC Santa Barbara University Wind Ensemble and as part of Music @ Boston Court’s DuoFest, LA’s Most Fearless Fusion. She was also commissioned to write an original piece for Santa Barbara’s Bassoonapalooza. Her piece, Metamorphosis, received a Dorothy and Sherrill C. Corwin Award in the large ensemble category in 2019. 

On the business side, Erica developed extensive management, sales, customer service, product development, and interpersonal relations experience through her positions at Sonos, Festival Mozaic, TEDxUCSB, and her startup, Gane Toys.

Georgette Patricio

Georgette Patricio is an oboist and music librarian based in Southern California. A versatile performing artist, Georgette enjoys concertizing in a wide range of ensembles from opera to video game music. She is an active freelancer and has performed with groups such as the San Diego City Ballet Orchestra, Pacific Lyric Association, Left Coast Quintet, San Diego Philharmonic Orchestra, North Coast Symphony Orchestra, and the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music’s Studio Orchestra. Currently, due to COVID-19, she continues to perform virtually with several performing groups producing audio-visual content online.

When not performing, Georgette is an avid music librarian in various settings. She currently works as a music librarian for the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the virtual ensemble, Philanthropic Philharmonic. Previously, she has worked as a part-time intern for the San Diego Symphony’s library during their Summer Pops Seasons. During her undergraduate studies, she volunteered to help catalog and maintain the Wind Ensemble library at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music. She holds membership with the Music Librarian Association and California Chapter of the MLA organization.

Georgette Patricio currently is a double master’s candidate in Musicology and Library Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She holds a Bachelor of Music from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at the California State University, Long Beach, where she double-majored in Oboe Performance and Music History & Literature.

Rachel Aragaki

Rachel is a horn player and writer based in southern California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts with a double major in music and environmental studies at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and she is currently completing her Master of Music degree in horn performance at California State University, Long Beach.

As a horn player, Rachel has performed with the Bob Cole Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, the Bob Cole Conservatory Studio Orchestra, the St. Luke Chamber Orchestra, the Portland Concert Opera, the Northwest Horn Orchestra, the Lewis & Clark Orchestra, and the Colburn Youth Symphony. In addition to orchestral works, Rachel loves playing chamber music. Since the 2020 pandemic, she has also taken up arranging and recording in her home studio. Outside of music, her passions include writing, cooking (and eating), playing ultimate frisbee, and taking her cat Gyoza for walks.
